This place has a school.

Tim's noticed it before, kinda. He's seen the building and the occasional person in the Compound working on what looks like homework. Or just busy work, which is the same thing in his opinion. And now there's a sign on the bulletin board about a new term or something and Tim's... well, interested isn't exactly the right ( Read more... )

When Tim crashes into him, Jack makes a startled sort of noise, his hands coming up to catch Tim's shoulders and he steps back, a smile quirking at the corners of his mouth. Until he remembers Tim kissing him and then he frowns again and promptly drops his hands. He's not homophobic, far from it, but the whole situation had just been weird. Especially with that creepy girl egging them on. In fact, Jack's still not sure what the hell really happened.

"Hey," he says after a second, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly with one hand.

"Hey, sorry, man," Tim says, quickly, his words overlapping Jack's as he puts a hand up and steps back. His hair falls over his eyes and he reaches up to push it back, brows furrowing when he notices the frown crossing Jack's face.

He takes another step back, a hand still in his hair. "What, I smell or somethin'? I said I was sorry."

"Nah, I'm just afraid your scary friend is gonna show up and goad you into trying to take my pants off," Jack snorts and although he's feeling a little weird, it's easy enough for him to brush off. "But it doesn't seem like she's anywhere nearby."

"My scary friend?" Tim asks, relaxing slightly as a smirk curves his lips. It's not really an actual question since he knows pretty well who Jack has to be talking about and he's not sure Jaye is really a friend, so the implication isn't actually insulting at all. "You sure you ain't just disappointed?"

"Whoa, hey," Sam protested, slightly on guard and just barely avoiding going into a defensive fight stance when he saw it was just Tim. "I was pretty sure I was impossible to miss," he joked, without much feeling in it.

"Oh, hey," Tim says immediatly, stumbling a little in his effort to not completely bowl the guy over, one hand finding his arm in the process.

It takes only a second for him to figure out who he's run into and then offers a sheepish smile, pulling his hand away as he murmurs an apology. "Just turned to quick or somethin'. Sorry."

Sam was still fairly out of it, but not so much that he was about to be a total ass to a guy who was sort of the closest thing he had to a friend outside of Dean. "It's fine, I wasn't looking where I was going," he admitted. "Been...zoned, I guess?"

Tim nods, quickly shrugging it off. "You alrigh'?" he asks with a tilt of his head. The past couple times he's seen Sam, the guy's been... well, distressed seems kind of an understatement. "How're those headaches?"

"Ouch," said Bee, rubbing her nose and frowning. "You're quite large, do you know that?" She looked up at Tim and suppressed a grin.

His brow furrows at the collision and he pulls his arm back, turning to look down at the girl he's just run into. She looks familiar and he realizes they've met before, though it's been awhile. He tries to cover up the fact that he can't remember her name.

"Yeah, but I'm quick," he tells her, the response more or less instinctual as he grins back at her. "You alrigh'? Sorry, I didn't see you."

"I'm fine, I've gotten worse than that before." Bee tilts her head to the side, thinking for a second. "I know I've met you, but I can't remember your name."

"Tim," he tells her with an easy, tilt of his chin and then reaches out to shake her hand. He has to remind himself that her name's not Claire and his smile grows a little sheepish. "You're, uh..."

Tim knows that voice and he immediately tries to correct the movement, stumbling a little in the process as he turns to face her.

"Hey, sorry," he says, but he's smiling just a little bit, happy to see Hayley even if things are still just a little awkward. "Didn't see you."

"Not my fault your so damn small," he says giving her a teasing smile before lifting a hand to ruffle her hair a bit and squinting at her nose, making sure it's not really hurt. It looks okay, so the guilt isn't too horrible, but he does feel pretty bad.

"Oh God, I'm sorry!" I exclaimed, although it ended up sounding more like "Oggulimry!" as I had a mouthful of cookie. Really eloquent, Shari, good job. With some effort, I swallowed what was left and covered my mouth with an embarrassed chuckle. "Sorry. I should've looked where I was going."

Tim stumbles a little, one hand grabbing a thin arm to balance himself as his brow creases. He thinks there's an apology in that first word and he gives his own, a smile curving his lips when he realizes he knows this girl. Sorta. There'd been that whole flower thing.

"Hey, no worries," he says after a moment, still grinning. "Wasn't really paying attention either."

"You're... Tim, right?" I asked, because I'd developed a bad habit of assigning people nicknames in my head. It wasn't that I was bad with names; it was more that to me, he'd become Flower Guy. "I'd offer you a cookie, but I think I just ate the last one."

"I'll take a rain check, I guess," he says, still grinning easily as he relaxes back, one hand slipping into the front pocket of his jeans. "I, uh... sorry, I have a pretty shitty memory sometimes."

At least he remembers her at all, he figures. A lot of stuff's happened over the past couple weeks.
