Maureen had been playing pool when the guy had suddenly landed in the middle of the rec room. Accompanied by some rather cool music, though.

She took a shot and then blew the end of the pool cue before saying, "Nice theme song. Sounds like something right out of Flashdance."

Bret nearly jumped out of his skin when he realized someone was nearby, and he whirled around and stared at the woman. She seemed so calm that it was almost as offputting as the fact he just appeared in a strange room.

"Excuse me, what?"

Maureen shrugged. "I was just saying, it's kind of neat that you come with your own theme music." Setting the pool cue down, she crossed her arms and looked thoughtful. "I've been using 'Let's Talk About Sex' for the theme song of my radio program but maybe I ought to write something original."

"Oh, that's not anything we've written," he said, glancing at the jukebox again, momentarily distracted by the conversation. Though, he had been making it up in his head a few seconds ago, so maybe that counted. He was pretty sure he'd never heard it before then.

His line of thinking stopped once he remembered he had more important things to worry about.

"What's all this?" he asked her, motioning around weakly in a vague attempt to get answers. He was starting to feel the panic rising in his throat, and he half expected the walls to start moving again.
