The last thing Anya had been expecting to see as she made her way to New Atlantis was a giant sized frog on the path. Her sword was out, and up, even as something rang out in her mind about it. "Glenn?" She asked, her voice trembling, hoping this was him and not some other sort of creature, the blood on her skin from the other thing they'd fought having dried to an itchy brown film.
"Nary a thought, m'lady," he admitted, shaking his head. "I awoke to find myself like this. The island...something has happened. The jungle is full of terrible beasts. Ye must find someplace safe, and quickly."
He could not go himself. Who would believe he was anything but one of the many beasts running amok now?
When Xander had woken up this morning, it had been to a slight change as well. A slight change that kept him out of the sunlight. So he was stuck in the jungle till sunset and even then he wasn't sure he wanted to leave. Being a vampire was one frightening thing...being a vampire against other really frightening things was another.
Like a giant frog.
Since it was out in the daylight, Xander couldn't do anything, so he just hid in the brush. It was a good plan except the trees above him shifted, letting a beam of sunlight flash down right on Xander's neck. "Ow! Shit!"
His body ached from the constant movement over the last few hours, but his reflexes were sharp. He whirled toward the sound, sword drawn, body in a stance of defense. He had bumped into many beasts in his running, and all of them easily deflected his attacks. All he could do now was try to slow them down to protect himself.
"Show thyself," he demanded. The thing spoke, which was new, but with how the island was at the moment, he could not be too cautious.
Xander was rubbing the back of his neck as he stood up, the other out defensively in front of him. A frog monster with a sword that talked. Huh. The demon in him really wanted to attack the thing but Xander fought it down.
"Hey look, uh, whatever you are. I really don't want a fight or anything. Even less then I want to come out there because I kinda can't." He couldn't help that it came out kinda growly around his fangs.
So it was not a mindless beast. The other things he encountered seem to be. But he caught a glimpse of the...thing, and he could not lower his guard just yet.
"What....are...ye?" he asked out, having never seen anything like him before.

"M'lady," he panted, still trying to catch his breath. "Lower thine sword, I am nae thy enemy."
And his voice was different, but there was still the faint traces of what he sounded like as human in it as well.
