Jemaine, having found the Compound with the assistance of The Most Beautiful Girl on the Beach (that he'd seen yesterday), had slept curled up on top of his guitar case the night before, and upon finding Bret still not there when he woke up, decided that it was imperative he handle this situation head-on ( Read more... )

Fraser had been exiting the men's bathroom when the door was yanked open, but he showed no signs of being surprised or startled by it, or the man's question.

"I'm sorry, but I think you'll find that this is the men's room," he said simply, slipping his hat back onto his head and stepping into the hall. He smiled as he gestured at the sign that stated the the Mountie was, in fact, telling the truth, and gave the other man an apologetic look. "I don't believe we have a New Zealand Consulate, or any Consulate for that matter. There is, however, a police department if you are in need of some assistance."

Jemaine was a bit startled from finding the door being opened as he was opening it anyway, and at the mention of police, he blurted, "You're not mugging me are you?"

"No, I don't believe I am, nor would I ever," Fraser assured the man. "I'm Constable Benton Fraser of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I first arrived upon this island over a year ago, and for reasons that don't need discussing at this time, vanished, only to return some time later with no memory of my initial visit. While no longer a member of the island police force, I do what I can to help those in need."

"Canada?" Jemaine repeated, latching onto something familiar, "this is the Canadian Consulate then?" He peered over Fraser's shoulder.

Padme was trying to get Sola to actually eat, for goodness' sakes- not just squirm and twist and do everything that she could wiggle her exactly ten-month-old body into besides eating.

When she'd been crying two minutes ago, because she was hungry. Her lips pressed together as she tried again, her shirt down around her elbow as-

Her door opened. Padme's brows knit, and she looked up. "... This... is my bedroom?" Not the New Zealand Consulate, whatever that was.

Jemaine froze in the doorway. His eyes flicked between the beautiful woman and the wriggling baby in her lap.

"Right," he said. "Definitely... not the New Zealand Consulate then?"

Padme's brows knit, and Sola took that time to latch on finally. "No? But- I mean, if you don't mind me asking, what's New Zealand? I might be able to help?"

Was she talking? Jemaine wasn't used to women talking when their breasts were showing.

Luckily the baby latched on before she got out the last bit, so he caught that. "It's a... country."
