Anita had felt the earthquake, though she had been asleep. It had taken her more than a little while to get herself together and head up to the Compound. At first she figured that she would simply check in with someone and everything would be okay, but she realized when she entered the building that there was no power and people seemed to rushing around trying to deal with it.
This didn't bode well, and she actually wasn't expecting to find out completely what was going on until things calmed down. She did know that it must be connected to the earthquake, though how exactly she wasn't completely sure. Though if she had to hazard a guess she would say that one of the scientists would probably figure it out and then...well if she knew this place like she thought she did they would only have half or maybe a little over half of the complete answer. If she were honest they slightly pissed her off, but she would wait until later to bitch about it and now she would see if there was anything she could do.
