Cecily was wandering about the island when she arrived at the giant waterfall that stood before her. It was such a beautiful sight and yet she could hardly stand it. She loved this island. It was everything she adored about her fantasies, and yet...

Well, something was just missing. As she stared at the waterfall in front of her, her breath became ( Read more... )

It is not every day--in fact, not very many days at all, which is probably fortunate--that Robb and Grey Wind encounter crying girls while coming home from patrol. Grey Wind, concerned, starts trotting toward her until Robb calls him back--some people are more traumatised than others by very large wolves, and he thinks perhaps they ought not make things any worse.

"Are you all right?" he asks, realising it's not a very sensible question.

"I don't see why you couldn't," Robb says, a little amused. "People here swim in considerably less."

Cecily ran into the other room and changed and when she looked down, she almost immeadiately burst out laughing. "Well, don't look!"

She walked out from where she changed, clinging her hands to her bare stomach, feeling completely exposed.

At her call of 'don't look,' Robb, who has a wife and two sisters here after all, looks obligingly up at the ceiling. "All set," he asks, "or not?" Even earlier this day, he'd met someone else sunbathing naked on the beach. There are as many levels of comfort and modesty as people, he thinks, and not all of them are based on world.

She was going to be swimming soon anyway, so maybe if the man just kept his eyes completely shut. Then it occured to Cecily that she did not know her way back to the waterfall.

"You, sir, should walk in front of me. That way you wont see until I am well concealed with water." Cecily felt quite clever and satisfied with herself.

Robb wisely does not laugh, though he trades an amused look with Grey Wind. "This way, then," he says, leading her along, the wolf trotting at his heels and occasionally glancing back at her.

Cecily giggled. "No!" She shouted in a joking manner, "I told you not to look!" She spoke these words after realizing that he was looking at her sometimes.

Robb isn't the one looking, though. "Sorry," he calls back to her, "you can't really tell him things like that and have him listen. But he's a wolf, it ought not matter? Oh--here we are!"

[Sorry, wasn't clear. *g*]

Cecily laughed and ran ahead of Robb without even remembering that she had asked him to avert his eyes from her. She dipped her toes into the water, and all of a sudden she felt an overwhelming feeling of calm, cool relaxation. She drew her body into the water more and was soon hip-deep. The water was the perfect temperature.

"Are you coming in?"
