The only way Arthur had managed to get through recent events was to keep himself busy. He hadn't been able to get past his writer's block, or whatever it was that was preventing him from writing down any of the things he had planned to, but he had managed to at least get some reading done during the time he had remained in the compound. He had found it relatively easy to sleep as well, even with all the crowding, it seemed that the adventures of his younger days and early journalistic career could still come in handy.
It had only been a couple of days since he had finished repairing his hut. It could have been worse of course but since he wasn't exactly proficient at building huts it had still taken time to make sure everything was sorted out. He wondered about finding some way to lift it off the ground so flooding wouldn't be a problem but he figured that it was probably beyond his expertise.
He found himself in the Rec Room surprised that the jukebox stayed pretty silent around him now. He couldn't tell whether he was relieved, or whether he missed it honestly. Perhaps it was for the best. He picked out a book at random and gave a slight chuckle at the mention of vampires on the back cover. "I'm sure you find this quite humorous." Of course it did, otherwise why do it?
He couldn't help but wonder if it happened to be trashy as well. There was of course only one way to find out.
