He'd been late in the lab again, having fallen asleep hunched over his laptop, before finally ending up in the on-call bed. When Doctor House rushed in, he was barely even aware of what time it was. Carson only really knew Doctor House by name, since the man didn't keep regular clinic hours. There was something about an emergency council meeting, and Carson needed to round up the other doctors. There was already one critical in the clinic, and Doctor House sounded like things might be on their way to getting much worse.
Carson was only slightly groggy for a moment, then finally got up and went off to rouse everyone. Times like this made him immediately miss the PA system on Atlantis.
Bloody island. Bloody dark ages.
He'd first gone to find Dr. Fraser, but oddly enough, she was nowhere to be found at the moment. So for now, he'd have to take care of things.
After a while, he finally had everyone together, and after Doctor House came back from the Council meeting, informing them of just what was going on, they'd come up with a plan for handling what would undoubtedly be quite the influx of patients.
"Alright," Carson said, once things had calmed down, "We'll split into three teams- establish a triage just outside, minor injuries in the rec room, and anything serious comes straight here, d'you understand?"
"And those of you in the rec room, see if you can rig up a method for getting blood donations. Hopefully we won't need a lot, but the Council's going to see about sending folks in who know they're O negative." Doctor House interjected.
"Aye, that's a good ide--" Carson started before he was immediately interrupted by Doctor House.
"--And I better not catch any of you doing anything stupid, like leaving. I swear to god if one of you doctors goes out to play hero and take pot shots at dinosaurs and comes back to bleed all over me, I'll make your life a living hell. There are big muscled people with guns to do that sort of thing. It's the job of the smart weaklings to be here to patch them up and send them back out to kill more stuff."
Carson glanced over, silently pressing his lips together before he looked back at the team they'd gathered.
"Okay, then, let's hop to it." He said, clapping his hands together once. There wasn't any time to waste.
