Ideally, Brian's world would have consisted of two people but, at the moment, it was a world of one because his brother was so fucking clueless

Jane was only finished tidying the kitchen at this late hour, having stayed longer to bake herself additional muffins for the Treehouse and for others upon her route. She was in the rec room to simply cool down, wiping at her forehead when she saw the gentleman and curtsied for him. "Sir," she greeted politely.
Jane smiled shyly, always happy to meet a new person, though she was still somewhat skittish. "I do realise I am forward, but are you hungry, sir? I did just bake cookies and I would dearly love to share." It would, as she hoped, count as a good deed of her day.
She was pretty simple which made her kind of like Deb. He laughed and shook his head. "Trust me, you could be a lot more forward, but I'd be more than happy to have some of your cookies."
Ragetti hadn't been coming to the compound as much lately, and he surprisingly felt rather bad about it. He'd missed Ms. Jane's breakfast three weeks in a row, and he just felt as though he was being...neglectful. So while Delirium was having her usual escapades in the woods with Cerberus, he'd come to the building, washed his old clothes from home, and after they had dryed, returned to wearing them. Once that was done, he visited the bookroom in hopes of aquiring some more books.
As it happened, there was already a man present, and he did faulter in a moment of random shyness. But shaking it off, he fixed on a grin, adjusted his eyepatch and join the other man at the shelf. " 'ullo." He said brightly, thumb casually hooked on his weapons belt as he squinted at the titles.
Brian decided 'ullo probably roughly translated to hello. Maybe the island school should consider teaching English as a Second Language. "Hey," he said. Led Zeppelin might work.
"Whotsit?" He asked randomly, peering at the...thing, the man was holding. He hadn't seen those before, all he ever found were notquitebooks, children's books and other books he couldn't read but now recognized as possessing the word 'GAY' in the title.
Ariel joined the man near the bookshelf. Most people ignored the records and the music box, favoring other things, among them the jukebox. The music box remained her favorite, though, because she liked to choose what to listen to.
"Have you ever heard 'The Beatles'?" she asked curiously.
Brian grinned at the ridiculous question. "Yes I have." He rummaged through the records and held out Please Please Me. "Do you want to hear this one or Revolver or the White Album?"
Azalyn had become frustrated with the bookshelf. She had only recently discovered it and, upon closer inspection found that the whole thing was full of books on wars and tactics. She found it quite insufferable.
She'd only gone back to return a book that she never intended to read in the first place when she noticed these flat sleeves and a man flipping one over the other. She forgot where she was putting the book and just sort of stared quizically on.
"Hello," Brian said after a minute or two of feigned ignorance. He was still trying to enjoy this record browsing business but he was beginning to think he should offer a night course on basic music appreciation for half of the island.
She dropped her book as the man responded to her gawking. She didn't even pretend to notice it as she immediately bent down next to the guy, hands clenching the box and eyes on him.

"What are they?" she asked, leaning in even more.
