Saturday Matinee

There had been film cans on the shelf last night, and Jack wanted something to do out of the sunshine and inevitable work. He picked one at randome and loaded it up, sitting back comfortably as the grainy old movie started. Sweeping music came up witha map of Africa and the actors' names came up in script before the title.

"The Germans wore gray, you wore blue..." The Doctor settled in next to Jack. He'd thought he'd never want to watch a film again, but this one...this one he could deal with. "Can't get enough of the Second World War, can you, Captain Harkness..." He grinned.

((Believe it or not, Rhi has never seen Casablanca.))

The Doctor pouted a little. "Will you tell me later?" he asked, under his breath.

[captainjack]

"If I'm not busy," he teased, eyes moving from face to face around the room.

[sortofaman]

There was an 'oh please' sort of snort. "Make time," the Doctor drawled a little, not moving. It was more fun to talk in vague statements and not move right up to each other anyway.

As he accepted a kiss from Izzie and wrapped his arm around her, then spread his legs to give Jaime room, he turned back to press a kiss to the Doctor's hair. "I'd make time for that."

The Doctor eyed Jack and the others, then smirked a little bit. "Come find me after the 'beautiful friendship', if you're not otherwise occupied. If need be, I'll make it worth your while."

[captainjack]

Jack held on tighter and sighed. "Stay? At least until La Marseillaise?" he asked, nudging his way to the Doctor's ear. "Please," he whispered.

[sortofaman]

This made the Doctor smile a little more. "Okay," he said quietly, curving just a little into Jack's lips. "I will."

[captainjack]

Jack was perfectly happy to nuzzle close and ignore the movie, until he heard, "You know, you're kind of a pimp, Jack."

[sortofaman]

And, for that matter, the Doctor did stay through to the end.
