la_dissonanceSummary: Scorpius has a way of changing Al’s life, but Al’s not complaining.
Scorpius Malfoy had a way of taking over Al Potter’s life. He constantly tinkered with everyday things, like what Al wore to Hogsmeade, or which type of bread he chose for toast at breakfast. But Al didn’t mind. It was nice to have a friend that took such an interest, and anyway Scorpius generally steered clear of major life areas. Although, when Al looked back on it, there were three times when Scorp had turned his life completely on its head.
The first was when they were eleven, riding the Hogwarts Express to school. Al was mad at James for challenging his right to be sorted into Gryffindor. So what if he was afraid of the dark? That didn’t mean he wasn’t brave otherwise. Just look at Uncle Ron and spiders.
He was sitting alone in a compartment, moping, when a blond haired boy burst in, glanced around, spotted Al, and smiled. “You’re the younger Potter boy, right?”
Al nodded.
“Good. I’m Scorpius Malfoy. Now listen carefully. You and I are destined to be best friends, so you need to tell the sorting hat you want to be in…” he paused. “How smart are you?”
Al shrugged. He was having trouble keeping up with the conversation.
“Are you mute? I can work around that if you are.”
Al rolled his eyes. “I’m not mute and I guess I’m pretty smart.”
“Good. Then tell the hat you want to be in Ravenclaw. I’ll do the same.” Scorpius finally sat down, right next to Al, even though the other bench was empty. “Father will go positively mental when he hears I’m in Ravenclaw and my best friend’s a Potter.” He grinned from ear to ear.
Al had heard how sneaky Malfoys were, so he wasn’t sure if Scorpius was playing a prank. Living with James had made him wary. But when Scorpius was sorted into Ravenclaw, Al took a leap of faith and begged the hat to do the same for him.
That had been more than five years ago and Scorpius’s prediction from that first day proved true: they were best friends. Al didn’t dwell on what life would’ve been like had he been stuck in Gryffindor with James and Lily, and without Scorpius.
*******
The second time Scorpius had effected a major change in Al’s life had been just last night. Ten minutes before they were to meet their dates for the Yule Ball, Scorpius had leaned in close to Al and whispered, “Even though I’m officially going to the dance with Tiffy, you’re really my date. I expect a dance before the evening’s over.”
Al swallowed hard. Had Scorp realized Al thought of him as more than a friend? Was he taking the piss?
Al was so nervous through most of the dance he barely remembered it. What he did remember, though, was the call for the last dance and Scorpius whisking him onto the dance floor. They held each other close and swayed to the music, Al’s head coming to rest (finally!) on Scorpius’s shoulder. Even James’s catcalling couldn’t dampen Al’s happiness.
By the time the dance ended, their dates had disappeared. It was just as well since Scorpius grabbed Al’s hand and pulled him out of the Great Hall. They rushed to an empty classroom so quickly Al wasn’t sure even which floor they were on.
Alone in the room, the door spell-locked, the torches left unlit, Scorpius maneuvered Al onto the dust-coated teacher’s desk and treated him to a bruising, needy kiss.
“We’re not just friends anymore,” Scorpius insisted between nips to Al’s jaw.
“Do I have any say in this?” Al asked, moaning as Scorpius sucked on his neck.
“Have you ever?”
Al didn’t answer. Instead he wrapped his arms around Scorpius’s waist and pulled him closer, scooting ahead on the desk until their bodies were flush from shoulder to groin. Oh, and the groin part-that was incredible. When Al felt Scorpius’s hard length pressing against his own, he suddenly needed much more. “Too many clothes,” he panted.
Scorpius’s lips left Al’s skin. “Watch,” he whispered, “I’ve been practicing this just for you.” He shut his eyes and mumbled a spell. No wand, no hand movements, just a few muttered words and they were both completely naked.
Al wrapped a hand around the back of Scorpius’s neck and pulled his face close. “Your magic is dead sexy,” he murmured just before pressing his lips to Scorp’s.
Scorpius moaned but then pulled back. “Just my magic?”
“Hell no.” Al lowered his hand from Scorp’s neck to his back and tugged him in tight again. He gasped when their cocks bumped and then nestled against each other. Not sure what was right or expected, Al screwed up his bravery and reached down to grasp both pricks in his hand. He stroked over them like he did to himself when he was alone and dreaming of Scorpius, dreaming of just this. But nothing he had ever dreamt could compare to the exquisite reality of feeling Scorpius against him.
Scorpius mewled and bucked his hips, adding friction and more movement to the already heady sensations.
Al was burning up. His body caught in the slick slide of pure need. It was too much, too fast, and his orgasm burst forth, leaving him staggered. Scorpius crested just after, spurting and shuddering against Al.
They returned to their common room to face whispers and sideways glances. In answer to all the unasked questions, Scorpius grabbed Al’s hand and clasped it to his chest. “My boyfriend and I are going to bed. If anyone has a problem with that, you can keep it to yourself.”
*******
The third time Scorpius changed Al’s life happened just moments ago. They awoke in Scorpius’s bed, tangled together, the morning sun filtering through the bed hangings.
Scorpius nuzzled Al’s neck and whispered, “I love you.”
