I fail as a fangirl

Yeah what the title says. At fangirling, I do indeed fail.

Talia Fowler came through my register today. I am a fangirl of Talia. All through season two of SYTYCD Aus I was a fangirl of her, right up until she won. Stands to reason that upon sighting her... I should have fangirled.

But instead all that happened was that I called "Next please..."

I think it was mostly time constraints that held me back.

I work in a busy grocery shop. If Talia had come through with an entire trolley full of items that took awhile to put through, I probably would have mentioned that I had seen her in SYTYCD and Fame and loved her dancing, cause that would have just been making conversation while she worked, not taking up her time.

But as it was, she was only coming in to buy a salad and some fruit. The whole transaction took less than two minutes (a very happy two minutes), and there was a line up behind her. I didn't want to hold her there just so I could have a fangirl moment.

But if she wereto come in again and the circumstances were exactly the same, I think I would probably do exactly the same thing.

It wasn't so much shyness as politeness.

I think you handled the situation beautifully. It sounds like things were busy and if I were in her position, I'd probably really appreciate being treated normally :)
