Because I've been freakishly busy for months I still have this open in a tab on my computer; I've been slowly working through a backlog of things I meant to read. I wanted to say that I really enjoyed your review! (And also that it's a good thing (for me) that you posted this, because otherwise I would probably have responded to your review on pandemonium_bks thinking it was your personal journal...)
I'm glad you liked and read my review. My free ARC was worth it if someone read it. :-) It's too much of a summary in parts but getting to review a book that I actually wanted to read before reading it was quite thrilling.
Though, um, if I post in another community, ahem, does that show up on my friends page?
No, don't worry, I've been subscribed to the pandemonium community for years.
I was a fan of some of Card's earlier work, and have been sorely disappointed by what I've read of what he's written in the last decade, and so reluctant to pick up anything new. I normally don't read reviews of books I know I want to read, and so reading your review let me suck out some of the sweet without having to suffer through the bitter... and made a corner of me think I might perhaps want to read it some day, which is a corner more than thought so before I read it.
