There's this way her music is this tremendous feat of ego and pus-- able to create again and again from the goo of this elemental wound-- that I love and fear a little... Like it sets off moral alarms for me, the idea that art shouldn't have to be like that... But the power is undeniable. I liked Geraldine Fibbers as a tween without later putting it together that it's the same dame.

i loved Fibbers, too, one of my favourite concerts, and it also had that intimacy in spite of its bigger, more rocking gestures. She's got a special gift for exposing some rawness or something

does the wife like loud shows? Just was dragged into a circle pit by mine this last week, Defiance Ohio in this secret basement venue in Seattle... Felt so good I almost threw up...
