Thanks! I'm trying to do more green, at least a work or two with no ocean in sight. Every idea I have seems to move toward seawater...blue--a dark bluish green is my favorite color.
I've noticed a preponderance of that sort of colour in your work :D
I love the greens, especially that bright, almost fluorescent green you get in spring when the leaves are just emerging, but haven't been hardened into darker shades by the sun yet. I really hang out for that colour after the long dark of winter.
I do like the sea colours too though, and was always amazed at the colours to be found among the inhabitants of reefs and shallow seafloor environments.
Thanks! Pixies really aren't my thing, but what else was going to be at home with that background? I started painting the back, broad green strokes and with the transparency, it made it look so much like a closeup of grass stalks. After that, the course was set, it had to be pixies!
