I am not sure, but I think this ties in nicely to my "No, it's really hard work and women should have more help and have to do less of it in the first place" rants?

No, it's more along the lines of "no, motherhood is not a sacred trust, and talking about social reform is not moral apostacy".

Replace the word "motherhood" in the above with "virginity" to get a flavour of where I'm aiming at.

My rants tend to start with "it's not a vocation."

But I think we get a lot less of the I Sacrificed My Life To Be A Mom stuff here in the UK (and in Ireland) than in the US.

In what sense do you mean, we get less of it?

I agree that women here are pressurised to keep closed ranks and not overtly and openly complain about motherhood. I don't really know how this compares to the US - The F-Word is a UK based website, so the author of the article is talking about the UK.

You either have to have an official diagnosys of PND, or be blissfully happy. The middle ground is just wall-to-wall Bad Mothering.
