I became enamoured by Blade of the Immortal around March, and just absolutely fell in love with Makie and Anotsu that little pieces of fics were swirling in my mind, and I figured I'd like to express them in drabbles instead of longer works.
In searching for lj drabble communities, there weren't really much that I felt like joining in, especially as some of them seem to be dead so it would've been pointless to join. Wherein I found
fanfic50, and I liked their selection of prompt tables but felt trepidated because I didn't really think I'd be a constant writer for it, and I don't know about their stance regarding drabbles, so I figured I'd take the inspiration as it comes, and if it applies to a prompt then so be it.
I was intending to write more, except my grandfather died and I found myself adrift regarding a lot of things so I've been off doing the RL thing and going through the motions these past couple of months.
So here are three that I managed to write before my grandpa died.

Those words at first left her numb as she watched him walk away down the path.
She turned around, closed the door of the hut, and through the numbness finally felt the throbbing of her right hand. The pang in her heart warred with the pain, incessant, undiminished even through the opium.
Through the tears she wondered over her importance in his life. Once she had been promised to become his woman, and some other was now his wife. She almost laughed at the absurdity that she could ever be anything of worth to him, other than as a weapon.

She sat in the shadows, watched the passing of people beyond the wooden bars of the window.
The other women beside her were restless, fanning themselves so as not to let their makeup melt with perspiration, when there was a sudden gust of gentle wind, and a cool, calm green appeared before her eyes, paused at her line of vision, the narrow eyes of a long-haired young man looking intently at her.
She could feel the weight of his gaze, but dared not raise her eyes beyond his slim collarbone, just waited for him to pass along with the wind.
Title: The Price of a Prize

This new customer seemed rather reserved, sitting himself by the window instead of reaching for her as soon as she walked through the sliding door.
She reached for his obi, but his hand stilled hers.
“No, that's not necessary,” he said solemnly.
Taken aback at first, she schooled the puzzlement out of her features and leaned up to kiss his lips, but he swerved his head to avoid it.
Startled, and feeling hurt by the rejection despite herself, softly she asked, “Didn't you buy me? For the night?”
“No,” he answered, turning to look at her. “I bought your freedom.”
