One of the pros (or some might say cons) of being a Watcher was the ability to travel around the world. Joe realized this after he'd left the United States four times to follow Roy, his Immortal. Twice he'd been to England, once to France and once to China. England and France were both easy trips, as Joe spoke some French and was able to blend in well with other travelers there. China had been a little more difficult, but since Roy had defeated his foe, Joe hadn't had to stay in China more than a day or two.
Joe marveled at how the Watchers were able to fund his travels, from air flights and rental cars to hotel rooms. He never had to worry about where he was going to stay or how he was going to get there. If he knew where Roy was heading, all he had to do was contact Ian and within hours, the arrangements were made. Sometimes Ian was the one to call with the travel arrangements. Either way, Joe was gratful for the assistance.
He tossed his journal into a bag. This time, his travels were taking him to Egypt.
