Rules
Respect one another.
Respect, and you will be respected. Respect the players, the characters, the mods, and the rules. That's just how things work in order for you to fully enjoy the game. If you have any problems or conflicts with players, keep it away from the game and it does not affect how the characters interact towards one another. Remember, ic =/= ooc after all.
No godmodding, powerplaying, or metagaming.
Godmodding is when a player makes their character have the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries, can kill or hurt other characters without giving the other characters a chance, or when they simply cannot be harmed or destroyed by any means.
Powerplaying is when when a player controls someone else's character, as well as their own, without the other person's permission. It also means when a character/player describes how the other person is affected by it, thus leaving the other player unable to roleplay his/her own character. Powerplaying is also when a player gives their characters powers far and beyond what is reasonable in the game environment.
Metagaming is when game information outside of what is available in a game is used to give a player an advantage in-game. It is when a character knows information that they shouldn't. A player's knowledge is NOT their character's knowledge.
If you are found to be doing any of the above mentioned, you will be warned three times before being dropped out of the game.
No character will be all-powerful.
We are all aware that some canon characters have powers that can make them similar to a god, and make them seem to be godmoding. In order to keep this from happening, powers of all the characters will be limited and toned down to a mere 40% while they are in Memoria. Only The Oblivisci, the existence that governs the City, and their people-in-command will be all-powerful.
No Playercesting
If possible, keep your characters from interacting with one another. Your characters may be at the same room or location at times and they may acknowledge one another whenever they are in close proximity in a log with a group of people, but it should be avoided as much as possible. Your characters should be interacting with other characters, and not just your own.
Current character limit is four characters.
As of now, the current character limit is four characters. However, this may change in the future. Only two characters per canon is allowed.
Drops.
When dropping a character, comment in this post to inform the mod, and make a dropping post to
memoria_ooc to inform the other players.
Hiatuses/Slowatus.
If you are busy or real life is getting in the way, and you are unavailable to roleplay your muses for a few weeks or for more than a one month period, you may claim a hiatus status to avoid being dropped from the community. You can also claim a limited activity if you want to put one of your characters inactive while the others are all active. This however, does not exempt you from posting to their journals or to the main community at least once a month.
Stay Active.
You are required to stay active; muse-squatting is a no-no because other players might want to have a character spot which you are wasting. Activity checks will be done every end of the month with one of the following requirements:
a. Two log posts to the main community or to your journal with at least three replies to each thread.
b. One post or log with at least seven replies to each thread.
c. A completed active log.
Others
Communities
The main community,
intomemoria , is for character logs (both action and prose), events, npc announcements and the like, while
memoria_ooc is what would you like to say as a player or as a mun (introduction posts, hiatus and drop notices for the other muns, etc).
Character Journals
A character journal is important to the game! Character journals are for posting voice, text, and video posts, and if it leads to, quick action posts are also allowed. Other characters are free to comment and respond to the posts in character journals.
