Momoko's phone rang and she blinked at the caller id only a moment before answering. "Oh my gosh, Rikku! Rikku! Rikku! How are you? Your phone is working! Hi! Are you okay?"

Her voice probably gave away her combined concern for Rikku's safety, being in a world full of monsters and stuff, and excitement at hearing from her.

Momoko stared for a moment at the phone: Rikku was having A Very Bad Day. Well, hopefully it was only one day and not a bunch of days, but from the sound of things it was probably really a few days that got saved up.

"People are stupid, but everyone is worth saving. Which is not at all what you want to hear, but I think I'm wired to say that now!" She said it lightly. "And if you keep working hard for both sides, surely someone will see that and help! They have to get tired of the fighting and names and stupidness sometime. Didn't you say they'd been doing it for a long time? So maybe it's like smoking! They just can't think of how to live without doing it?"

Hey, it made sense in Momoko's brain.

"Unless they think you're awesome super cool, they're wrong and you don't have to listen to them!" In case Rikku forgot who's corner Momoko was in. "You just have to keep being awesome and people will totally see that!"
