She could only show a half-frown while the door opened to allow her access, Sayaka Miki pulling her hood back to shake any excess water from her person before making her way inside.

"I know you're the future Queen of Seyruun, but would it hurt to let your bodyguard know you'll be waiting in a place like this in weird, stormy weather?!" Sayaka was only concerned for Amelia's well being, and it showed in her eyes. "I would've done the same thing you did, and I know you would've come after me no matter what anyone said~"

The only reason Sayaka had been allowed to go was because it was her duty to protect Amelia, and she had only been a day or so late after the Princess had headed out.

Well, this was unexpected. Amelia could only gawp at Sayaka came inside, shaking herself out of her thoughts just long enough to shut the door over, turning to the other girl. It was pretty clear by her expression she had not thought that her companion would come out looking for her.

"I didn't want to trouble you. I could handle being here by myself for one night, I would have been back home by tomorrow evening." she sighed, clearly feeling guilty that her bodyguard had saw fit to journey out so far at night, and during a storm. "You didn't need to come all this way on such a horrible night."

Sayaka sighed herself, pulling her hood and raiment completely off to place near the door before making herself at home on the foot of the bed and staring back at Amelia.

"What about 2 or 3 nights? 'Cause that's also why I came out." She held up a set of document papers for her partner to read. "Our guest was unexpectedly delayed on the road-something about needing to fix their wheel. It'll take at least another day or so before they're even close to us."

Amelia had no chance to say much else as she followed her companion further in, standing in front of her and reading over the papers. Even so, a couple more days wasn't going to be a huge risk surely.

"I know you mean well, but I can take care of myself even for that long, I promise. You don't need to worry about me Sayaka." she smiled softly. After all, she traveled with friend all the time, she couldn't expect the other girl to trail her wherever she went. She appreciated the kindness of the act of course, but didn't wish to cause concern for her friend unnecessarily.

"Amelia, Amelia, Amelia..." Sayaka hid a broad grin from view as she leaned back to literally sprawl onto the bed before going on. "You're a Princess and I know you're used to things like this. I know you can take care of yourself, but I wouldn't be doing my job as a bodyguard if I didn't make sure to know where I can reach you if you're needed.

"Besides, do you really want me to head back to Seyruun...in that?" She pointed toward the window where things were starting to look even rougher than they'd been moments ago.

Just as the other girl pointed at the window, Amelia turned her head to see a bright flash of lightening outside, followed by the low rumbles of thunder as the rain continued to pour down. She obviously couldn't send Sayaka to walk home in that, especially in the middle of the night. It was pointless to argue further.

Sighing heavily, picked up a towel nearby and handed over to her companion, before she folded her arms in front of her. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you'd planned all this just so we could be alone outside the castle."

Sayaka gave Amelia her best innocent smile-which wasn't all that innocent-before replying. "I'm not in control of the weather, Amelia. If I planned for anything, it was to catch up with you while you were aloooone~ You came ahead of me, so technically you planned for this without knowing it."

The implication made Amelia flush brightly, an annoyed pout forming on her face, though as always, it looked more cute than threatening. "Don't try to turn this around. Weather not being considered, are you telling me that you had no alterior motives for coming out here, knowing we'd be alone all night, with no one to bother us?"

Sayaka did her best to refrain from giggling at seeing Amelia's cute 'pouty' face, instead choosing to rub her cheek gently with a hand. "I honestly had no ulterior motives, Miss Amelia~ Protecting you is first and foremost in my heart. The 2nd thing however...deals with us being alone aaaaaaall night~"

"Well, you can just as easily protect me by sleeping in the spare room, can't you?" she asked, that face making her appear innocently serious, even if she was getting a little payback for the teasing.

"Wha-?" Sayaka's joyful tone faded upon seeing Amelia's face be a mixture of innocence and seriousness, the girl pouting while glancing away from her. "Even a few seconds' apart and a door between us is too much." she noted quietly. "If you want me to go home..."

"Well, you can't in that weather." she replied with a shake of her head. Still, she was curious about how pouty Sayaka was over the issue. "Really, would it hurt so much to be in a separate room?" she enquired, still teasing a little, not really intending to be so cold when the actual need to sleep came up.

"Just as much as it would hurt to see you at swordpoint," came the response, Sayaka still not having caught on to her partner's teasing tone. "I...I really like sharing the same bed with you, Amelia. Always have, always will."

Amelia had to wonder if that was an exaggeration, but she didn't want to mock that declaration anyway. Sighing, she shook her head, looking back up at the other girl. "Well, lucky we feel the same way in that regard hmm?" she smiled softly.

"...You were teasing, weren't you?" Sayaka asked softly before smiling back, sighing happily and pressing against Amelia cheek-to-cheek. "Yeah, I'm really lucky to have such a cute princess as my girlfriend~"

"So that's all it is? Any cute princess would do?" she asked in a mock hurt voice, still letting Sayaka snuggle up next to her, taking one of her hands and lacing their fingers together.
