The concert had been a blasting success, the fans were delirious and satisfied, if not wanting more. Although most of their focus were usually on the lead singer, and perhaps the other guitarist, rather than on him, the bassist. But Nikita didn't mind not being in the spotlight, preferring to contribute in other ways possible, and leave it all to ( Read more... )

"Niki, hey. What're you doing back here? Everyone was looking for you!"

And standing there behind him with her usual teasing grin is none other than the band's lead singer herself, Julia. Or Julchen, as the fans fondly call her. She looks as tired as he does, but probably just as happy. It's clear in the smile clear in her violet eyes as she looks up at him and how wide that grin is on her face. Her long, silver hair is a bit of mess from her tossing it about onstage and from the quick towel wipe she did before meeting the fans backstage. The make up on her face still holds, smoky eyes and pink lips. And she's still wearing that corset from onstage. That one that appeared from under her loose overshirt for their last number, Wenn ich ein Junge wär. She's covered up with one of her favorite leather jackets but it's still there, hugging her slender but slightly curvy frame ( ... )

The reaction from the crowd and Nikita's own reaction to them makes Julia grin, as well as wince at the loudness of it. She can practically feel the glee from the fans and it sends a thrill to shoot through her. It's this glee, this enthusiasm, this love that energizes her and keeps her going until she can finally retreat to the quiet of her room. This energy is also something that Nikita isn't used to and so she reaches for the mike, gently brushing her hand with his a bit. She can set this all straight or at least she'll try to. No need to toss Nikita into the wolves, but...

"Do you have something to say to them?" She asks him, ignoring the crowd who is just getting worked up with how close she is to him. Not quite close enough to be scandalous but for the fans, it could actually "mean something."

Nikita wasn't used to being the focus of such attention, so it sort of frightened him a little. He let Julia take the mike from him, the brief brush of their hands sending goosebumps up his spine, and he quickly withdrew it back and stuff it into the pockets of his trousers.

He shook his head at her question, unable to find the voice in himself to say anything else. Right this moment, he wished everything would be settled as soon as possible, then bury his head somewhere deep under the pillows of his hotel room. Beside him, Francis was giving him funny looks, and he kicked the older man's shin in annoyance.

Their manager was already shaking his head at this whole fiasco, already glaring holes into the back of their heads, as if to say We will have a word about this later. Nikita could only sigh deeply and put on his pokerface once more.

Julia can't resist smiling at how cute Nikita is at the moment, just slouching down and avoiding looking at anyone. He's probably embarrassed, but she's not really sure. His poker face is just that good ( ... )

Nikita listened quietly by the side as Julchen continued to respond to the fans, though when she turned and threw a playful wink at him, it served only to confuse him more. So was she being serious or teasing? He couldn't tell.

The fans, though were mostly not buying her words when they saw that. Yet they weren't sure either, so it worked out just fine, to keep them in a limbo and grey areas of uncertainties. He wanted to lean over and as What was that about? but refrained himself, lest he sent out the wrong signal again ( ... )

Her energy saps out of her the moment she's ushered into the limousine. She's just so tired she can hardly keep her eyes open. She drifts off just as the limousine starts to move and she doesn't hear Nikita's quiet 'thank you'. Despite the fact that she's asleep, her body seems to easily detect the nearest heat source. She sighs and snuggles to the side towards Nikita and his warm, wonderful coat, nuzzling and humming in contentment before settling.

Antonio notices them but decides to let it go for now, though he does smile at Nikita a little, amused at how things are progressing and how cute it all is.

He felt Julia shifting closer and snuggling against him, glancing over at her from the corner of his eyes, then slowly relaxing as she did nothing else. It was a gesture she did whenever she sat beside him, and usually the other members and himself paid no heed to it, already familiar with her love for his warm coat.

But it was slightly different this time, especially more so when Antonio threw him an amused smile. Sometimes, he wondered if it was all a ploy to garner more interests from the fans, which was already working like magic. On the other hand, he suspected that both Antonio and Francis knew of his feelings for Julia, though none of them confirmed his suspicions.

The ride back was smooth, without any further hitches, and soon they reached their hotel. He shifted slightly and shook Julia's shoulder with his free hand, indicating their arrival. He knew she was a light sleeper, so it shouldn't be hard to rouse her awake.

Julia wakes up with no trouble, blinking and yawning after a few shakes. She gives Nikita a bit of a disoriented look when she sees him, just looking at him a bit owlishly as if she has no idea who he is and where they are. It must have been a pretty good nap.

"...Hi." She manages after a while and just continues on staring at him a little. She still hasn't moved away from him.

Nikita wasn't going to readily admit it, but the sight of Julia who just woke up with a dazed look and yawning had to be one of the most endearing imagery he had of her.

He quickly snapped out of his staring and jerked his head in the direction of the opened limousine door. "We have arrived." The taller man stepped out and held a hand out to her, earning a wolf whistle from Francis when he walked past. Nikita decided to ignore him and wait for her instead.

She hardly acknowledges Francis' whistle, too busy with rubbing at her eyes and making her way as well as she could out of the limousine. She takes Nikita's hand without really thinking about it and steps out as carefully as she can.

Julia looks up at Nikita. "What time is it?" She's still holding his hand.

"Nearly midnight." Came the low murmur as he gripped onto Julia's hand firmly, making sure she was standing on her feet steadily, the entire time keeping watch over her.

He wouldn't let go until he was certain she was properly awake. "Should sleep early tonight."

Julia nods at that, yawning again as she keeps a firm grip on his hand. The night air is a bit cool and it's making her crave something hot and sweet.

"I want hot chocolate." She murmurs randomly before gently tugging at Nikita's hand to steer him forward towards the hotel doors. "What about you?"

Nikita cocked a brow at her murmured request, letting her tug him along toward the hotel's entrance. "The same."

After a few seconds, he belated added: "With vodka."

That was something he couldn't live without, much like Julia and her beer. He half wondered if it would even taste good, but didn't care as they both strolled into the lobby. Now, do they want to head for the cafe, or perhaps have it brought to their room?

Beer's all fine and good, but right now she prefers hot chocolate. They are saved the trouble of ordering from the cafe by a passing assistant whom Julchen ever so nicely requests to have the hot chocolate as they like it brought up to their rooms. She adds a croissant to her order and lets Nikita order his own pastry if he wants. All through this exchange, she still holds his hand and they continue this way until they reach the elevator.

Julia sighs as she leans back against the elevator's mirrored walls, looking forward at their reflections. She's holding his hand and at that moment, with it just the two of them, she finds that she isn't embarrassed. It just seems... Natural. Carefully, a bit tentatively, she shifts her hold on his hand just a little but doesn't let go. She waits for what he will do.

When it came to Julia and her circle of acquaintances, no matter who they were, they always were ready to fulfil her requests. Whether it was the reporters, fans, assistants, make-up artists, or just anyone. Nikita admired that aspect of her; he ordered some cookies instead, having an urge to bite something substantially hard.

It wasn't until they entered the elevator when he realised that their hands were still linked together, the mirror image in front reflecting it clearly before him. The journey up the floor passed in comfortable silence, and when he felt Julia's fingers move against his, Nikita slowly but surely did the same.

By the time the door dinged open, his fingers were already nicely entwined with hers, and he even had the audacity to bring her hand up to his lips for a kiss before tugging her out of the elevator. Whatever his feelings were for her, it was all in that brush of lips on her skin.

As hard and as callous as she can be at times, Julia can also be so very nice when she wanted to. It's something that she has learned along the way and it's a lesson that served her well.

The feeling of his lips, cool and dry, against her skin sends a pleasant shiver to dance all across her body, leaving her with a tingle that she felt most prominently on her cheeks and the spot on her hand that he kissed. She knows she must be blushing again but then she hardly cared as they walked down the hallway together. Her gaze is fixed on him, unable to look away as she lets him lead her away. Even as thoughts and questions run amok in her head, of why's and how's and what's.

He kissed her hand. Does that mean what she thinks it means?
