Aaron Paul as Abbott Miller (late-twenty's) and Phoebe Tonkin as Maia Stewart (early-twenty's)
A generation ago, the Miller and Stewart packs, along with several other prominent packs, signed a treaty that bound their first-born potential alphas with the duty to form the strongest of packs, an alpha pack made up of the strongest pack members of their individual packs. Abbott and Maia, both born-wolves, were promised to each other at their births as the treaty signed by their pack elders decreed. Together, they lead the Alpha pack. Their duty is even reflected in their names, meaning father and mother respectively.
They are given an important mission when rumors spread that the Hale pack is back, apparently not as decimated as they other treaty packs had believed. It is up to Abbott, Maia, and their Alpha pack, to discover the truth about the Hale pack and, if they can, get Derek to join them like he was meant to.
Meanwhile in Beacon Hills, the Hale pack and company brace for the arrival of the Alpha pack. What happens when the arrival comes with a (quietly dangerous) whisper instead of a bang? On the lookout for newcomers, what happens when the alphas aren't what they were expecting? And can they trust Maia or is she insinuating herself into the lives of the betas with the purpose of stretching and fraying their bonds? What happens when her presence in their lives sparks feelings and jealousies that were previously hidden?
