Rome season two casting news.
At least two significant characters will be introduced this season: Pompey's granddaughter and Octavian's second wife, Scribonia, and Gaius Maecenas, who was life-long advisor to Octavian and a member of his inner circle.
Camilla Rutherford (Gosford Park) will play Scribonia. Alex Wyndham (The Line of Beauty) will be in the role of Maecenas. IMDb lists their appearing in the show as early as episode two, so I could be expecting the switch from Max Pirkis to Simon Woods as Octavian to occur around then as well. But then with IMDb, you can never tell.
