It's just an MP3. You could try a right-click to save the file to the desktop and then play from there. I can't imagine the lyrics making a lick of sense *without* the sonics, but... :)
I finished the initial five-topic post pretty much right off the bat and hadn't had a lot of time to hang out on LJ since, so until just now I was *not* in fact aware of the sixth topic. I have a class to teach this afternoon so this should be quite interesting, but I saw the notification of your comment right before I got in the car for the commute and I think I came up with something... BIG thanks for the heads-up.
I had wondered whether you hadn't seen it, which is why I mentioned it - I would have expected you to have done something by now. I did think that those very, very few who'd done all five promptly might be disadvantaged by not checking back before the deadline.
I was especially crestfallen because, while it's not a big deal to bang out something in a couple hours, I really wanted to end this set of entries with a single song (...the one posted in THIS entry), and the sixth entry I hadn't heard about until this last possible second really screwed up that potential plan.
Thankfully, after writing the song in my head on the commute, I managed to find 30 free minutes in my office, along with a piano, a $25 ukelele that I can't really play, and a multitrack recording app on my phone.
I owe you one. Hope you can find a way to hear the result that I just posted!
Have you seen that there's a sixth topic?
