Blink by Malcolm Gladwell - First Impressions

I bought a new book, Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell. I had my eye on it for a while and, while the subject matter sounded interesting, I was also skeptical since it sounded too guru-y. Maybe in that passage Gladwell is simply pointing out when to notice that you are thin-slicing? Anyway, I felt that book lacked coherence.

You might be interested in Timothy Wilson's (of Nisbett & Wilson fame) book Strangers to Ourselves, though I haven't read it myself.
