What's the formula for the brandied cherries?

I just googled Brandied Cherries recipe. Now of course I can't find the same link to give it to you. It was just brandy, sugar and cherries. and it was a UK site, because I had to look up conversion tables for translating grams and mLs to cups and spoons. made me wish I'd done a little better and remembered more of that part of chemistry.
