Francine, lying about reading the latest New Bitterwoman Adventures with a goofy grin on her face and a carnation in a vase next to her bed? Why ever would you think that?

Sometime into the evening, after speaking to Dinah, Merlin found himself on the fifth floor for... some reason.

And by Francine's room. Also for some reason he couldn't name because there wasn't one.

And knocking now. No reason!

Francine looked up from wondering who the heck thought it was a good idea to let Jim Lee re-design Bitterwoman's costume again, and grinned at the knock. "Hiiii!"

Francine's mouth opened in an O. "Nooo! I..." She blushed. "I um. Wasn't really sober enough to think of where you were. I barely knew where I was."

Pot brownies, she still didn't get, but spiked punch, she'd figured out.
