I read the play when I was in college...I've always wanted to see the movie, but I still haven't. Maybe I should track it down!

jack lemmon and al pacino were both at their best here as levene and ricky roma.

that's a great film. i have it on dvd, although i've never watched it since i saw it at the movie theater the first time.

you should watch it again, just for the cathartic effect of seeing levene and roma rip into kevin spacey's character non stop for almost a full 1/2 hour. the only part of the movie i don't enjoy is blake's scene, its obvious it was just sort of tacked on to make the movie more gripping.
