Foggy knows something is up, not from the moment he walks in the door and Matt is there, but from the moment he made coffee, Matt didn't smell it, and he stood in Matt's doorway for five minutes saying 'Hey, Matt,' over and over and he didn't respond.
The voice finally registers and he sits up a little straighter, rubbing at his eyes under his glasses. "Sorry, must have dozed off."
It might fly, if Foggy can't see behind his glasses. The ringing is going to be a problem, but Frank is a bigger problem. He just needs to adjust, fast, to his new impairment.
Foggy looks back, making sure Karen is busy before he talks. "I know how you sleep, Murdock, because you sleep right here most nights." He pressed to the center of his chest where Matt had laid his head the entire night. Expect last night and the night before. "You don't twitch when you sleep. You trying to make noise or something?"
Now that he's looking, Matt looks a little more bruised than he normally does.
"Maybe I just sleep better with you. I'm a twitchy sleeper without you there." He'd been tapping his fingers against the desk at varying volumes, to see where his hearing goes out. A lot quicker than he'd like, unfortunately.
