ok, so I forgot to do this last year even though that one would have been interesting to keep track of, but at least I told myself to go back to filling this out again for 2012, so bear with me

Hey! I love how everyone comes back to LJ to do the year-end surveys. So cool to see another Dawes fan... I got really into them last year, too, and loved them even more after seeing them live and talking to them afterward. What nice guys.
Ha! So true! I still think it's kind of a shame that livejournal fell behind in the social media competition because I like the concept (more than I like blogs even). I guess it's hard to beat the brevity of 140 characters.
YES DAWES! They're wonderful aren't they? And I'm so not surprised to find that other Wallflowers fans like them, I feel like they have similarities in sound. I didn't get to talk to them cause I ran into an acquaintance after the show who's a promoter and did interviews with them a while back and said they weren't very nice.. and mostly I didn't want to look like a nerd in front of her and her friends. I regret it a bit, I feel like I sold out.
Similarly, I'm pretty sad I didn't go to the NJ show in July, but that just would've been really selfish. How many more shows did you go to? Can we all cross our fingers for a London show this year?
I wound up with seven WF shows last year--my most ever for a single year. :D Won't make it to the Clapton shows in the spring, though. Too big, too expensive, too far.
That's surprising someone said Dawes wasn't nice. They did an extensive meet and greet after the show I went to and were all very sweet when I met them. I even awkwardly complimented Taylor on his "fantastic enunciation," and he seemed cool with it. Haha. They have such a great sound... more WF-like than the WF themselves, if that makes sense!
