Going back in time some 3500 years...

So after much contemplation (wrongly interpreted by some as sheer laziness), we finally paid a visit to the king that was also a queen, daughter, mother, and God's wife even! She's presently sojourning in my neighbourhood, at Kimbell Art Museum. At other times, she resides in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (or simply, the "Met") at the Big Apple.

... gonna be a hard one to de-bug! Or, should I say de-fecate?

What about thanking those who cajoled you to get off the couch, stop watching the same movie over and over again, and go do something? Where would you be without them, huh? Huh?

Hatshepsut seems like a model person: controlling, manipulative, power-hungry. I want to be like her someday...

P.S. I enjoyed the post. Keep it up!

Dunno...without them, I guess I'll still be on the couch, watching the same movie I had seen so many times over and over again, and not doing anything else. :P

And so, I guess a biiig Thank You!!! is due to them too! Really, thanks splogs!

I thought so too, but only for a little while. It's not like she went on a warring spree all the time. She did raise her step son, who I think was somewhat chauvinistic based on what I read about him destroying statues of Hatshepsut. And I really liked the fact that she encouraged art and architecture. Some of the statues and sculptures on display were really awesome. We weren't able to finish the entire display...I'm planning to go again. :)

Yeah rrrriight!! Good luck with that.
