Red Letter Day

Apr 18, 2008 20:29

Today has contained the selling of not one, but two motorcycles, the fixing of my remaining motorcycle, and the acceptance into top-tier national business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma.

It's been a good day.

Wow, they both sold in one day? Cool deal.

If I were closer, I'd have a Sabre in my garage. But I've already driven to Ann Arbor and back to buy one bike (ask Curt where his old CBR is these days. :-)

And good luck in your move to California. Plenty of good riding out that way, and plenty of good people to share it with. :-)

Heck, I would have delivered. I can get a plane ticket from anywhere. :)

Thanks Ann. I was thinking about you today.

Where has life taken you recently?

WOW. You've been busy as heck! I have some travel coming up, but nothing like the frequent bouncing you've been doing. Next week I'm moving to San Francisco for four months. Then back for four months, then getting married and moving back to California.

Life is neat. Glad you're enjoying it.

Congratulations! Which motorcycle did you fix, and which did you sell?

I fixed up the 1985 VT500 Honda Shadow. It's perfect for San Francisco - low seat height, enough power, and of course - a shaft drive.

It was hard, but I sold the Sabre. I have a solid handful of extra parts and rims I'm giving to Phil. I don't think I mentioned the clutch plates, but he's getting those too. I tried calling last week but couldn't reach you - I've been crazy busy for around three weeks now.

Speaking of crazy... Um, I'm moving to San Francisco next Tuesday. Or at least, that's when I'm getting the Shadow on the road. I have no idea when I'll get there. This week is going to be final exams and riding the Shadow everywhere to find all the bugs.

Hope to talk with you soon.
