We should get together at a point? I'm working swing right now, but I have Monday's free and Friday and Saturday evenings. :D I'm not on Hoyt anymore, moved to SE.
Heya. Good to hear about your life. I know we only sort-of know one another, but i did find myself wondering about you and how you were doing these days.
I am doing my best to enjoy my leisure time while it lasts. Up until last week, I hadn't had more than 3 consecutive days off in a row since Labor Day '06, so this is really rather weird for me. In fact, it's nearly 11am, and I'm still in my pajamas! Woot!
It's good to see you post. You know, I don't know how or when I missed it, but I was completely unaware you moved to Pdx full time. I'm feeling so "last year." *smiles* I'm glad you are enjoying the bigger city. It's a nice bigger city. It's not really big enough for me to sigh when I go there. I guess I've had my fill of big city life. But Portland, I could do Portland.
I'm not entirely sure that I was clear about the move. It all happened really fast, and I haven't really posted since then, so "it's not you, it's me" or some-such :)
I've never lived outside of Lane County before, so Portland seems like a big city to me, but even still, there's something down-home, and welcoming about it that you just don't get from the truly big cities that I've been to. It was pretty intimidating at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it now, I think :)
Are you living right downtown? Or in one of the bedroom communities? I love the trolly system they have. It makes it so much easier to get around than mere buses. I'd be content to take my bike to the trolly, ride where I needed, then bike the rest of the way. The reason to use my car at all in Eugene is to drive multiple people or to make it easier to do multiple errand days requiring trips to stores on very different parts of Eugene. I just did that today. It took me hours even with a car. It would have taken me as much time to do half the stops on a bike. I think the trolly would enhance Eugene.
Have a beautiful rest between jobs. The holiday season is fast approaching, so this gives a rest before the buzz of craziness.

Lets do something! I don't know what though. And I'm really bad at coming up with plans, any ideas?

You're wicked talented, you'll find a job in time. Now you live a life of languid leisure.
Give Glitch my consolations.
And I miss you!
