I'm glad your mom is coming. If it makes you feel better, when I was a sophomore, I had a ministroke type thing and called my mom, and she and my dad had made it three hours from home before the doctor called them to tell them that they didn't need to be there, so they turned around and drove back.
Then, the next Thursday drove the seven hours to see me for the neurologist's appointment. I was very, very glad to have them by me when scary things were going down.
I'm still praying for you. Don't feel embarrassed because you're sick. And don't feel embarrassed because your mother's there to help because that's an amazing comfort.
