1. I still can breathe right. It is literally an effort to force air into my lungs and I sound like I'm about to keel over and die any second, which made like four people in the elevator edge away from me today, and pretty keeps freaking out anyone who  talks to me on the phone.

Do you have doctor's notes to get you out of classes? I know my school will postpone exams and such and even let you withdraw from a course (and give most of the money back) if you're too ill to go to class and have a note.

God, darling. This sounds awful. I hope you get to feeling better, and yes, stridor is not something you want because it means your vocal folds aren't meeting correctly (or are not opening correctly) and air's not moving well through your larynx.
