I keep getting sad, because I know that no other book release will ever be as exciting for me as the HP ones were, and now the movies are coming to an end too.....

So I'm torn about this. One one side I'm like OMFG GIVE ME NOW. On the other... I can't really explain. I like how it's finished so definitively now, that all the loose ends are tied up. If she were to write one or two more, she'd have to come up with more plots and more mysteries, and each book will have to act as a standalone since a lot of the very meaningful character and story arcs have already been completed.

Okay, I definitely know how you feel. What I kind of want is a novel about what happened directly after the war. I want to see how the wizarding world changes after the war--how the characters changed, how things began to grow again after Voldemort. That's what I wanted from the epilogue, but I think if it was a novel, JKR could really focus on all the little details. Come on, IN DETAIL R/HR. WHO DOESN'T WANT THAT.

I guess that would be all right, except idk. I just love that it's finished in 7 years, for the 7 years of Hogwarts even though Harry didn't attend the last one. I just keep getting the feeling that if she wrote this, SS-DH would be the "classic series" whereas the ew books would be a brand new part. I guess I just prefer the classic series.

What I wish is that JKR wrote fanfiction but none of use knew it, and all of us just thought that harryfan2007 (or whatever her usename would be) was the greatest HP fanfic writer of all time
