i used to be a huge twi fan (last summer till the end of '08 or so). but i never compared those two series! its just silly. HP books are so well written and twilight is a piece of crap if to talk about the way its written. tho the plot was good enough for me to not be able to put the books down. and the twilight movie=fail. i think i didnt see it when i first watched it cause you know i had been waiting for it for half a year, i just didnt think it could be anything but awesome :P i was so wrong! and i am glad i am not into the fandom now. ITS A TOTAL MESS RIGHT NOW.

OH MY GOD. some of my friends agree that twilight is more real. "Vampires walk among us!" and I was like 'yeah, at NIGHT. They don't come out in the sunlight! They burn in sunlight, not go all sparkly.' And they get all pissed 'Whatever! Yes they do!' and I'm lke 'No... meyer ruined vampire folklore with that one.'

Harry Potter is very plausible to if Twilight is plausible. A world hidden from us? They do it pretty well in the book. That can be my arguement.

HP and Twilight shouldn't be compared because Twilight is for tweens when HP is for everyone.

Aside from being a literary travesty, it is like crack for preteen girls who don't know how the world works and an "escape" for people who do. It's brain candy romance with little to no plot, an unlikable, unrealistic heroine, and a controlling, psuedo-abusive sparkly VAMPIRE for a hero.

I LOVE YOU.
I fucking HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE when people are like, "OMG, TWILIGHT IS THE NEW HARRY POTTER, IT'S SOOOOO MUCH BETTER, IT'S GOING TO BE SO MUCH BIGGER THAN HP" and I'm just like SHUT THE FUCK UP. HARRY POTTER IS MILLIONS OF TIMES BETTER THAN TWILIGHT COULD EVER HOPE TO BE IN SO MANY WAYS IT'S RIDICULOUS. Seriously, if I had the time/patience, I'd write a 10,000 word essay thoroughly examining each individual way HP is better than Twilight and stand outside bookstores and hand them to people who came out with the any of the Twilight books.

Part of it is just because I hate Twilight so much, but the other is because I LOVE Harry Potter to no end.
