Hey, I read this interview a while ago and it still sticks out in my mind. It made me respect Taeyang a whole lot more. I always thought he was hot but I prefer to also know more about who the artists really are.

Yes. That’s how I really feel. I am genuinely unhappy with that particular promotional tactic because it perpetuates my image as a young man who has never had a girlfriend. I seriously hate it when they try to put me in some sort of a box and present the image as if it were a real me.

That is such a problem with Korea and idols. Perhaps you could also say it's a problem with pop music at large... but I love how he wasn't afraid to come out and say it.
