I have finally been at home for more than five days, a rarity in the past three months, and am itching to do some writing. However, my past promises to write keep getting broken, so I offer a meme stolen from everyone ( Read more... )

* How I feel about this character: I...I have only watched the last few seasons of SG-1 since I find it so incredibly boring (I'm sorry!!!). But I like Sam, I like that she's sciencey, and I wish SG-1 would never, ever try to give woman relationships. I want only the best for her.

* All the people I ship romantically with this character: Teal'c, Cam, Vala, whomever she thinks is cute and nerdy and not useless

* My non-romantic OTP for this character: I don't really feel qualifed to answer this:) But I love her interactions with Cam, so him.

* My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't really have enough of an opinion to have an unpopular one. I wish there were more women in the SG-1 universe.

* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: that she'd get to lead the team, like she probably should have

* Something about them I consider true, even though it's only my head canon/fanon: She and Vala are reluctant buddies, but committed!

Oh, okay. You were just there for Ben Browder and Claudia Black--from Farscape.

By seasons 9&10, the series's writers had run out of ideas. The actors did the best they could.

Samantha Carter did lead SG-1 during season 8. And she took command of the Daedalus-class ship, George Hammond in 2009 (I don't remember what season that was).

I think the best season was probably four. At least for the first eight seasons, I wouldn't have described it as boring, but it was very different from Farscape. I've only made it half-through through a rewatch of the latter--my husband couldn't take the angst and quit. It was too depressing to watch alone. But it was a brilliant series.

I love every scale on Rygel's selfish, gassy self.
I...try very hard not to think about him having sex, so I guess, romantically, I hope he finds a nice 17th wife to settle down with.
Non-romantic OTP? Chiana!!!
I think Rygel is a genius. And a terrible person trying to be better. I'm not sure that's unpopular.
I hope, truly, that Rygel gets to go back, depose his cousin, and torment his citizens.
Rygel really is happy to be learning to be a better Hynerian. And he can't wait to make the Chrichton/Sun off-spring a devious ruler in his own image.

I don't know if you want to write about Fangirl, but if you do, how about Reagan?

If not, then Chiana.

I love Reagan. I love the description of her, the forcefulness, the desire to take on Cath as a project. I like that she's strong, and honest, and squicked out by the Cath/Levi thing, but supportive, and also happily engaging in a healthy sex-life.
Romatically? Reagan is young. She doesn't need an OTP.
And non-romantic? Cath! Of course Cath. They can be mean and unbearably kind together.
I don't think I have an unpopular opionion. I think she's such a great component of the book. I love Levi, but in many ways, Reagan is far more well-drawn. I love that her reaction to coming from such a small town is to bust her ass to stay out of it, but she still loves Levi who wants to make it better. I love that she's mean, but not-cruel.
I hope she goes on to rule the world, or whatever world she chooses.
In my head, she's eventually going to grow up to meet someone she likes best, find something that rewards her talents, and she will be miserable to live with, in a not-terrible way, next year as she prepares to figure out what's next.

Loki. Or a random MCU character if preferred.

I am fond of Loki, although I don't feel sorry for him. He's got enough of that going on. I like his tricksiness. I want him to stop pouting ( ... )
