So, since I last posted (I mean really posted), I've gotten a job, Kate has gotten a job, two loved ones have passed away, we have found a new apartment to move to, and....those are the big things. Oh, and I got an iPhone, which is awesome

Congrats on the new jobs and the new apartment! I sympathize with what you're saying about unemployment. I was that way, too. It really hits hard at your self-esteem and you feel embarrassed about it, so easier to avoid the situations in which people will inevitably ask the dreaded question. (Though now that I am employed, I find people ask those questions less than I feared, or are easier to deflect than I thought.)
