growing old
Visited Grandma. Her new room is smaller but has french doors into the garden, so #1Son had a pleasant afternoon running around outside with someone else's grandchild. If you're going to be old, and female, there are worse places to do it than Lee House in Wimbledon.

Great day at the park
First awesome thing: today was grass cutting day, so two tractors
were mowing the field. I wish J had been there, he loves tractors even more than #1Son.
Second awesome thing: someone had left a couple of basketballs on the court, so we got to play. I haven't played since school (and it shows!) but I got a lucky first shot and enjoyed playing ( Read more... ) -

Happy New Year!
We played it laid-back last night, watched the fireworks on the telly with flutes of booze (poor planning meant no champagne so I had sherry & bytepilot had rum & pineapple juice.)
Today has proved a good start to the year. We met with waistcoatmark, sielis and their little lass for an excellent lunch at giraffe and then geeking out/ tea drinking at the London Transport Museum ( Read more... ) -

I really need to remember that you don't need much stuff to fill a Christmas stocking. I got enough to fill it three times over! Oops. Still, now he has oodles of tree presents. Also a giant one in the playroom. OK soooooo I may have gone completely overboard...
