Two more episodes to watch and I'll have finished season II.

Strangely enough his character arc reminds me of Anakin from Star Wars at this point in the show.

You're not the only one. Around season 4, it hit a number of people, including yours truly, that they even share the same initials.

Oh, and I maintain that Truth Takes Time is the best episode of season 2, in its heartbreaking "The Tragedy of Arvin and Emily" glory. That scene when she shows him the wire and he isn`t even angry but just asks her to go with him one last time, and she does and thereby seals her death kills me every time.

On the joyful side of things, The Getaway (in which we find out Sloane not only faked Emily's death - twice - but used Jack to frame Ariana Kane for a crime no one had committed, and while he was at it sets up the Alliance for destruction, pocketing millions) always is my guilty "Go, Arvin, Go!" episode ( ... )

I loved The Getaway . The way the story turned out - I didn't see it coming. I felt rather sorry for Ariana Kane.

Oh, I'll miss Irina in season 3. :-(

Looks as if Marshall will finally get some love.
If I had to pick one guy from the show to spend my life with, I'd pick him. He's the guy who would redo your house in such a way you'd never have to hoover again. It would all be automatic. :-)

So true, though if he's not at home when one of the gadgets break down, I'd be screwed. I certainly couldn't repair them...

It has been some time since I watched Alias and with a story plot as complex as that, I have some difficulties remembering everything. Yet one of the most striking scenes for me is also the one with Arvin and Emily where she is showing him the wire. A very touching scene! And later, when she gets shot instead of him, that is tragic irony at its peak!

I forgot to say that I agree with you that Marshall is absolutely cute! It's so good to have the scenes with him which function as a kind of comic relief in this otherwise quite cold and strained atmosphere. Not that I think his character is shallow, not at all, but he shows that being professional and having a sense of humour do not necessarily have to be opposites. And yes, he appears to be the one to be picked best for a daily life. Well, we don't know what will be in the future, but I just believe in his goodness! If you can't trust nobody else, trust Marshall!
