Very Productive Day

Well today was a very nice day. I started it off by working a lot in the garden. It's looking so nice now. Spring is definitely in full swing and I love it! It's not even St. Patrick's yet and I'm so excited about Easter. Peeps have been out now for a while and I must get more of those too cute marshmellow birdys. The blue ones are my ( Read more... )

Yeah I love getting spring two months before the rest of the country. I can imagine the cold is depressing. It would definitely get to me since I need lots of light. I'm worried my male snake may be sterile or infertile. :( That one is a male, the budgie that is. Yeah one budgie wakes up and starts walking over the ones sleeping. Hard to tell but they're all sleeping on a stuffed parrot toy.

Yeah you can't tell about the toy. If I get babies this year I feed out I'll take more pics.

Love the pictures. I demand more birdie pictures. Can't get enough of them. :) Randy's so cute! And so are his feet.

Thanks. I'm so glad you liked. Ok then I'll definitely be adding more birdy pics. Randy is a darling. I took a pic of his good side. He has a bad eye too and a lump over it, but he can still see. He was an abused baby.

Rescue animals make great pets. It's always satisfying and they're extra special knowing you gave them a better life.

Yeah though this one wasn't abused by humans. His parents were rough on him and his siblings stepped all over him bending his feet. I got him out but the damage was done. He has a great personality and you'd never know it though.

Great photos! I love that candle & the babies!

As for the garters - are you sure they're male & female? I have two males - different sizes & one goes after the other just like that. It's a dominance thing.

Just asking though. Looking at the size diff. in the pic, I am tempted to think you have a male & female. Why you haven't received babies - how old were they when they first mated? Perhaps they weren't old enough to really produce anything? Just random guesses because it's pretty easy to breed garters.

Thanks. Glad you liked the pics. Yeah I love that candel too. I'm kind of sure they are a true pair. I've had Sherman now for almost four years and Verdi I've had for may-be three or two and a half. She much bigger than him of course. I've put them together every spring and nothing's happened. I really don't know what's going on. I should probably have my vet try to sex them. When I got Verdi the guy in the pet store probed her and said she was a girl. Her tail seems short too compared to his.
