Nautica Lotuses and much more

It's been a busy last few days. Yesterday was a day off and we really enjoyed it. I went on one job with Chris and finished reading most of my Parrotlet book.I know a little more about breeding them now but still unsure if that's what I want to do in the future. Still bugs me Melville is taking up space and eating food. What a mistake that was. ( Read more... )

That pic of Minion stretching through the toy is so funny. I'm glad you put it up because it didn't come through when you sent it a second time either. That portrait of Nautica is so cute. I love her fluffy cheeks in it.

so many cute plants. I need to check my Nepenthes. We have had enough rain that I haven't needed to water the plants.

I had a feeling it didn't work the second time either. So I put it here plus other people can enjoy it too. It was hard getting a good pic of her for the icon. She kept running away.

Thanks. I need to fill the lotuses. We haven't had rain in two days and just that the heat is drying up the ponds.

That icon pic of Nautica is very good! I'm glad that Nautica and Minion get along do well. I would sell Melville if I were you.

Love the photos of your lotuses. And the seed head. And that orchid is going to be very good! I'm not into orchids, but got my first one a few years ago, neglected it and it has flowered for me now.

I have trouble growing tomatoes here, too. Cherry tomatoes are the only ones that thrive - and Tom Thumbs, which are smaller. It's not because it's too hot or there are too many bugs. It's mostly because it's too cold and too dry but misty rain causes blossom end rot while the roots are dry.

Thanks. Yeah, that's certainly an option for Melville. Breed him or sell him are the options.

Thanks. I've heard some you can eat the seeds. Those are the big ones though. I haven't gotten any big lotuses yet. I wonder if they taste good?

Oh no you too huh? Yeah I think tomatoes can be hard if you don't have a perfect temperate climate.

Yes, I have heard that you can eat the seeds of the big ones but I've never met anyone who has eaten them.

Tomatoes grow well out at dad's and down off the range, too cold for them here :(
