A recent post on one of the communities I follow made me realise that I've been wanting to say this for quite a while. It was a bit (okay, a lot) off-topic to the actual post, so I decided it would be better put in my own journal

This post (which I have to read in detail, but have something due by 5!) made me think of a friend's recent post. His LJ is locked, but has a post starting to solicit participation. A brief public version of it is here: http://kerrplunk.org/2010/12/and-arrivals/
He's a solid guy and I think you would both get along well. I would be happy to make a more formal introduction if you want, whether for friendship and connection, or future collaboration.
I am interested in this as well. I am not a farmer, but I have worked in and around sustainable agriculture for years and years. Right now, I work as an accountant for a company that has the largest network of sustainable farmers in the U.S. One the things that I do is pay out our farmers.
I just wanted to say thank you, and that I admire the work you do. You had a post about this a while back that I wanted to comment on, but it was obviously a post you didn't want feedback on - so I'm glad of the chance to say it here. Thank you.

Let me know if/when you ever want to get back into it. If you are interested in lamb ranching...I might be able to help you in some way. IDK about the any of the other animals we work with and the regionality because right now we are primarily sourcing our other proteins from the Midwest.
