If only, if only. I read translated manga and watched subbed anime. Dubs tend to depress me. ;(
Whenever Daniel makes a ton of money and we go to Japan, I hope we have a friend with us that can speak Japanese. Or a little azn girl who dresses as a maid and translates everything for us. That would be amazing.
Yay, Japanese nerd commonalities! Though I've never really read Manga, and I haven't watched any Anime in a really really long time.
I do watch Japanese TV, though. I don't understand any of it, but many of the shows that I watch don't require language knowledge to comprehend what's going on. It'll help, and I'd actually understand all of it if I did, but for now I usually just watch and invoke whichever emotion is relevant to the show. (Amused, Shock, Awe, Surprised, etc.)
