I had some idea it would be unexpected -- I'm a Torg writer mainly -- so am delighted that you enjoyed the response to your brilliant prompt. Tom's dog wasn't in the story when I planned it in my head; he just trotted in and stole the show himself -- I love their doggies, and am hoping Tom's favorite pooch will have a long and healthy life.
