8 days of Norway have ended. I am convinced I should live in Norway now; it is by far the best and most beautiful country I have ever been to. Endless photos will be added to facebook soon, and you're advised to look there if you feel some bizarre desire to know about my trip. Here follows a blog that will be entirely too detailed for anybody other ( Read more... )

Sounds amazing and lovely and beautiful. Also I want a poster of the scream.

I spent a while wondering if I wanted to spend £11 on a print but in the end decided to go for it... slightly expensive, but I've been searching for a Jay-suited poster since SJL, and the Scream is perfect.

You now have a reason to go to Norway, though - this is wonderful! Do it soon! (Also, take me?) :D

You belong to a very special group of people in this world.

Those who actually enjoy Oslo.

Don't get me wrong, I like Norway and been there many times, infact I was in Fredrikstad last week. . .

And how come you could not take a short bus ride down to see me?

I love Oslo. It is clean and pretty. I actually like all the Nordic capitals although Helsinki is probably my least favourite.

It is grey and dull!

It has some nice museums and parks, but most of them are only good for one visit. The same goes for Karl Johan, which must be the least inspirering shopping street of all time.

Helsingfors is nice, but weird. . . I cannot figure out what I really thing of the place.

It's not that grey or dull - certainly no more so than London or Paris. Lots of open spaces, parks and squares, and a lot of places where it would be nice to just lounge around. Also, the best public transport system of anywhere I have ever been to.

I am too poor to shop in Norway, but don't shop much anyway, so don't care how terrible Karl Johan is. :P

Also I didn't know you were in Fredrikstad! Although I only had 2.5 days in Oslo, so wouldn't be able to fit in the trip anyway.
