This is just a random thought, but does anybody out there have any experience with epilight hair removal procedures, as opposed to laser or electro?

It's just that there is a clinic where I live and I was wondering whether it was worth my even thinking about going to chat to them.

Thanks in advance

I guessed that it was probably a form of IPL! I had that last year and it seems to have made a great difference - there is very little black hair there now - just the perennial white stuff. However, post-op, I'm finding that most of the remaining hair is turning to vellous hair when it regrows after plucking! (Most of the time it breaks now before I can apply enough pressure to pluck!)

I'm now considering electrolysis to remove the remaining white hair but I will let it go another 6 months to see how things develop!

Oh, that is marvellous and exactly what I was hoping for. If I'm feeling up to it (which will be touch and go because i've got to navigate the job centre first) I might go in our clinic and inquire tommorrow then :)

Thanks loads!

Remember that you have to keep going for a while - over a year - how much depends on how much hair has to be treated. I still have a few functioning black folicles - but they're completely managable - and for some reason I don't understand, they seem to grow slowly - compared to the white! I will go back eventualy and get them treated!

And remember - it can be exceedingly expensive! I was paying just under £200 a session every 8 weeks! And I believe that's quite cheap!

Okay. I was aware that it could take a long time, but the matter of cost is something I'll have to think about very carefully. Right now, to be honest, I'm hoping it might be an alternative to travelling long distances for laser sessions, with the concurrent train fares involved. I'm also just hoping to take the edge of the worst of my facial hair, as the bulk of my beard (cheeks and most of neck) is rather fine and light anyway.

Thank you very much for your advice :)
